Henry Cho

About Me

Henry is a multidisciplinary theater artist working across performance, direction, dramaturgy, and design. He discovered technical theater at Rumsey Hall School, where early mentorship led him to stage management and set design. At St. Paul’s School, he pursued both acting and production. He acted the role of William Barfée in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (musical), and in the same academic year led costume design for the 2023 One Acts Festival, earning multiple awards for innovative, story driven designs.

In 2024, Henry expanded into directing and new work development. He served as an assistant director on multiple productions at St. Paul’s, beginning with The Addams Family under Kirsten McKinney. He then wrote, directed, and premiered his original, award-winning play, Breathe Love In, Breathe Love Out, which opened at Theatre Row and later played the Union City Theater Festival. He concluded his assistant directing in 2025 with Twelfth Night the musical prior to graduation.

Recently, Henry has worked as stage crew for large scale musicals in South Korea, most notably Seol Min-seok’s Adventure in Korean History: Ahn Jung-geun. He brings precision, support, and a maker’s eye to every production.
